I just finished USUM right now and im kinda bored, I want to play something that makes me as excited as pokemon does but idk what to pick up, I have a switch and ive been playing mk8 nonstop but theres only so much replay value when you have no friends lol

Spin-offs would be first priority if you're looking for recommendations.
Personally, I'm just playing Harvest Moon. Always a good choice when all you're doing is waiting.

I've been on a big danmaku kick recently. Something about maneuvering through a flashy maze of projectile while keeping up offense at the same time seems like something I could sink hours into. It's mentally and visually stimulating.

Try Dragon Quest, that series kept me busy in 2015 when there wasn't any Pokémon game. Nine Dragon Quest main series games have been localized and the spin offs (Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker 1 and 2 are quite similar to Pokmon).

If you're hungry for more Pokémon, but not a fan of the spin-offs, then try some ROM hacks, Pokémon Vega is a good choice, especially if you want to see new Pokémon.
