I want to watch Pokemon anime from gen 1 to current generation. But i want to watch it for story and character progression. Which episodes contain no filler?

Jesus, the filler episodes HAVE the character progression. And oddly, only Team Rocket has character development. I've been rewatching the seasons I missed growing up, so I'm not even half way done with Johto's three fucking seasons.
