>>35226095>Stop pretending these games are only for children.I never said they're only for children, but you'd have to pretty dumb to not realize children are the target audience. They always have been, which is why the games changed to suit the changing technological environment available to present-day children rather than continuing to appeal to what the children of the late 90s and early 2000s liked.
>You sell games by making quality games, not selling dogshit with bad content. Now now, no need for this. We both know the correlation between quality and sales is inconsistent at best and nearly nonexistent at worst. Especially in this series, where it's basically never been the case. Objectively superior versions like Crystal, Emerald, and Platinum fail to get even half of the sales of their inferior predecessors. XY and SM both outsold BW in way less time. Does this indicate anything about their quality?
>Gen 5 didn't have subpar sales. It did. Both entries are the worst-performing split versions aside from USUM, released in a climate where the DS was utterly dominating. Considering how many people owned the system at the time the numbers are even worse than they appear.
>BW2 sold more than Plat and EmeraldSplit versions always outperform single versions, the fact that the gap between BW2 and Plat or Emerald is so narrow says a lot.
And I assumed any examples would come with some sort of mention of this "better content". You can't just name a game and not explain what is better about that game's content, at least if you're trying to have an actual discussion.
