>>35227320Well, we keep having to come up with bullshit ways to evolve Eevee that didn’t exist in prior games any time there’s a new Eeveelution (day/night cycle, friendship level, mossy/icy rock, forcefeeding macaroons and pokébeans).
New items are one of the easiest ways to enable several new evolutions in a single generation. I think at least one Eeveelution could evolve by giving it a “strange plug” to hold, then evolve into something with a wide-eyed expression that wouldn’t look out of place with the caption, “Wrong hole, WRONG HOLE!”
