Torterra uses the shell as a weapon. Destroying the shield would drop its attack.
Blastoise has canons which can be count as part of the shell as well.

Because Escavalier has appendages meant to pierce. I know I'm just parroting myself now, but Pinsir's pincers can't pierce. Their curvature makes it awkward. It's pincers are there to help it grab and crush shit. That's why it learns a bunch of moves that crush and throw. As disappointing as it's learnset is, it makes sense.

Honestly, yes. Underneath the foliage, it's antlers are still pointed. I am biased though as I typically use the winter form, which doesn't have the obstructions.

Nido actually does learn poison tail, by breeding with seviper. If you meant it should learn it leveling up, then yeah I agree. It is fucking ridiculous that after 20 years their only poison STAB by level is poison sting.

I see where you're coming from but I'm not satisfied. Lunge for example is a perfectly fine move, not stronger than x-scissor but more useful. Does pinsir get it? nope. But mothim does. It's a really stupid distribution for a move. Leech life would also be great, but mega pinsir with STAB recovery can go fuck itself, so lunge would be alright.

You can actually work around bide more easily than counter/mirror coat, unless you let wobbuffet encore you, which would be your fault at that point. Since in-game wobbu doesn't use encore, you'd be fine. The only thing that would turn wobbuffet into an actual pain in the ass is metal burst, but hopefully it never gets that.

Submission is a terrible move. It has bad accuracy for how low its base power is, not to mention its recoil.

I'll give you brick break tho. I always forget it has 75 base power and not 65 (I said 70 because I was thinking of wake-up slap which at least is semi-decent with hypnosis).
