The OU Council has decided to ban Decidueye from the OU tier.

Decidueye is a pokemon that has all the right things going for it; a great dual stab combination, excellent offensive stats, the ability Long Reach, and exactly what it needs in its movepool.

The set that we believe breaks this pokemon is the Swords Dance + Decidium Z set. With a moveset of Swords Dance, Spirit Shackle, Leaf Blade, and Sucker Punch, Decidueye is practically unwallable outside of Ferrothorn and Skarmory, with very few other switch-ins. Sinister Arrow Raid is Decidueye’s nuke for netting easy KOs on non-resists and Spirit Shackle beats Steel types that can take its Grass-type moves. Sucker Punch is the perfect coverage move to defeat the remaining faster pokemon standing in the way of its STAB combination. Swords Dance makes Decidueye a threatening breaker and an even more threatening sweeper in conjunction with the lack of rocky helmet damage because of Long Reach.
