Killed two. In Gold found a shiny Sandshrew, fucker escaped from all my balls, couldn't run, had to kill it. In White, found a shiny solosis while grinding and twatted it too hard, cuz I was stoned as a motherfucker and assumed it wasn't that hard a hit.

Yeah I have decent luck finding shinies and ran into them all the time in gen 6. I killed a shiny aron because I'd rather have the defense ev than a shiny shitmon.

I lost a shiny Golbat because I was so incredibly retarded by putting it on gen IV GTS, asking for a fucking Bulbasaur. It was on my final day of vacation too, where my DS actually managed to connect to WiFi. Never got the Bulbasaur.
And I got a shiny Geodude in a horde once. It got killed by its Magnituding brethren.

Via the battle/catch mechanics:

That was the last time I cheated partially because of that hiccup but also because Gen 4 shortly after gave us internet connectivity meaning I no longer needed to do so for events (which is what I'd sworn to stick with after that Shiny encounter and just the general boring-ness of cheating - really was coming to appreciate how cheating robs you of the fun of playing anyway).

was grinding in the little strip of grass to the left of nugget bridge in red plus plus. shiny bellsprout, accidentally one shotted it trying to weaken it. shit, oh well. then like three pokemon later i ran into a pidgey and one shotted that too cos none of my pokemon were low level enough. i'm not meant to have shinies.
