>>35247641If you want to really spice this idea up, make the Inner Type only give STAB. But you can rotate it onto the other two types to function as a main type. That way the math of Pokemon doesn’t get too convoluted for new users. Sometimes I screw up and I can sorta empathize with a kid struggling in that way.
This can be done with medium difficulty. Meaning there is ease. A nice UI, either PC screen/key item. For me, this is very important. Fuck this one NPC does this once you reach this town shit, fuck IV/EV checking in 2018, give me PROPER stats and give it an icon or gtfo of here.
This can be said for
>IV check>EV check, not much of a problem anymore, thank god and thank GF >namerater guy, he’s a Yes-Man anyway>move relearner>move deleterThis could be a psychic gym leader maybe the 2nd gym that can be called and asked favors of. Or even Bill from the PC screen.
Consolidate the convoluted bits into one guy to streamline the experience. Like PSS did. Shit make PSS come back, add these or an “Ask-Olympia/Bill” option.
My kid’s game can only be so cryptic without going over the average players head entirely
The goal is obviously not to break the game with a swap during battle or w/e.
If this “Pivot Type” idea improves the meta in Gen 7.5*/ Gen 8 then this could become a mid-battle thing in Gen 9.
I’ve given this a good amount of thought before but this swapping idea just came to me. It was a spin-off of making a dice game slightly like Pokemon w/o breaking dual-typed pawns.
Also a spin-off of an idea for making Sound-type more practical/implement-able
