Pokemon Switch is a reboot based in Kanto.
The games are called Pokemon Ultra Red and Pokemon Ultra Green.
There's only Gen 1 Pokemon except for the starters and legendaries.
Catching Pokemon is like Pokemon Go. You can't fight wild Pokemon. You have to throw Pokeballs and pray you don't fail and the Pokemon flees.
Instead of having Red and Leaf as the playable characters, we have Elio and Selene from Gen 7. This is because in the reboot, they do not start their journey in Alola. They travel in Kanto.
Hau is your rival. He moves to Kanto and becomes your friend.
Blue/Green doesn't exist.
Abilities and the Physical/Special split are gone to emulate Gen 1 nostalgia.
The 3D graphcis are worse than Gen 6 and 7. They used N64 graphics since Red and Green released in 1996.
The game is glitchy and unpolished to emulate Gen 1 nostalgia.
Running shoes are gone. Poke Ride isn't present either.
Game Freak wanted to do this to ruin the Nintendo Switch's reputation of having good and polished games.
Instead of fighting Giovanni with Pokemon, you get into a fist fight with him.
Your surfing Pokemon can get tired after 5 minutes of surfing and you can drown.
Lillie is the champion but if you beat her, she stabs herself because you hurt her feelings.
