Pokemon theories

No.35262796 View ViewReplyOriginalReport
ITT: Post pokemon theories you used to believe (or still do). I'll start:
I used to believe Zygarde was created by the ultimate weapon. The ultimate weapon was originally a machine used to bring pokemon back to life by extracting the life energy from a group of pokemon and giving it to another. We don't know exactly how the machine was turned to a weapon, but it seems possible that it was the machine's ability to take life that was improved and used to destroy both sides of the war. However, if the machine is subject to a sort of "law of conservation of life energy" when being used to give life, it stands to reason that the machine must also respect said law when being used to take life. This means that the life energy of all the people and pokemon killed by the ultimate weapon must have gone somewhere. That's where Zygarde comes into place, when said life energy had no place to go to, it materialised in the form of Zygarde cells. As for the cores, they are created using the life energy of legendary pokemon, red for Yveltal, blue for Xerneas and the other three could have been Solgaleo, Lunala and Necrozma (had this theory been correct). Also, consider this, if the machine truly must respect a law of conservation of life energy then the machine and Zygarde basically represent the same concept, the balance of life and death in the universe.
I also used to have a theory that Zygarde 50% was a different being from the Zygarde 10% and that there were 5 Zygarde 10%, one for each core, with Zygarde 50% having no core. So basically: 5 * Zygarde 10% + Zygarde 50% = Zygarde 100%. That would explain why Gamefreak chose those weird percentages for the Zygarde forms and why Zygarde 50% is the only form that doesn't have a visible core. This theory was later backed up by an official description of 100% talking about the cores and Zygarde 50% as different entities (as if Zygarde 50% didn't have a core) and how each of the cores controls Zygarde 100% wings and tail.
