Given that it's been over 10 years since the change, how do you feel about the current English dub voices in the anime? I feel like I've gotten used to everyone except Ash.

voices have always been fine. It's everything thing else that needs playing with. Sort've done with the latest series but failed miserably.

Ash's old and new voices are both good and fitting for the character. It just took a little time for the new voice to get fully into the role. After like 50 episodes, he sounds completely natural with that voice.

Team Rocket is more or less fine, but everyone else is trash. All the female leads, except Dawn and Iris who were passable at best, are atrocious. Serena and Lillie especially are bad, sounding like 40 year old ladies rather than young girls.

I don't mind the dub voices, but I'm so used to seeing TPCi Ash as someone who tries to be mature that it's so weird to see him in the more exaggerated SM art style without a voice change. It bothered me enough that I watched SM with subs.

Veronica was great and Sarah was fine by DP. Everyone else is fine, although May's 2nd voice made M09 really hard to watch.

No, they can fuck themselves. I stopped watching the movies after seeing Mastermind of the Mirage Pokémon which came with my copy of the 8th one and then dumped the anime finally in B/W as a whole, when I couldn't take any of any of it anymore. Subbed or dubbed because of the lack of actual character growth.

Ash's 2nd voice actress has gotten a lot better. When she first took over in Hoenn plus the first bit of Sinnoh, she was really rough. I also feel like her voice fits better with Ash's "new" more mature personality. Veronica was good when Ash was more hotblooded and childish, like in the beginning.
