>>35277981Soft-resets don't require outside resources to determine what abstract Box names and item stacks are needed to manipulate DVs after the fact. Key phrase, though, is "after the fact." I'm not against RNG manipulation, especially if someone is crazy enough to go for a Shiny Manaphy. Gen II cloning is a bit cheesy, admittedly, but the Poké Transporter process makes them all unique in Gen VII.
>>35278051Injecting requires external interference and allows you to create from nothing. Cloning is readily available to all players, and it only duplicates a Pokémon you must already be in possession of. Like I said, I view it more as cheesy than cheating since the only advantage is duplication rather than enhancement/modification.
>>35279439Yes, you can. Low Attack IVs is preferable for min-maxing confusion hits and Foul Play damage, though. Anyone could potentially "fix" my rejects, if they don't mind the 31 Attack IV.
Enough semantics about what is and isn't cheating, though. I thought more people would be interested in trading rejects since it seemed in the spirit of Pokémon to expand our collections, but it appears I may have been wrong. Maybe I'll make some random people happy with Wonder Trade or go to WiFi General.
