i more interpret them as two sides of the same coin that must coexist with each other to make whole

i guess all in all that's the point... but if so then you can't really be for either or alone as they are.

someone once said to look at them more as Science (truth) and Religion (ideals)... but that's a false equivalency as they both DONT make a whole as one clearly discredits the other.

with truth and ideals neither one is more right than the other... neither is even "whole" in by itself.

anyways long story short i choose truth because i like reshiram more lol

While truth is about investigating the world, ideals are about changing it. There is literally nothing wrong with knowing shit about the world while believing that it could be better, and trying to work towards it. For all the good Gen 5 gave us, the truth-ideal dichotomy was really badly thought up and it was developed even worse throughout the story.
