Needless backtracking just to catch Granite Cave Pokemon that I didn't have to do in the originals because they didn't properly think through casualizing the fuck out of the map.
Sky Pillar being turned into an exposition set piece.
Safari Zone is turned into a generic route.
They barely bothered changing the grid based map design properly to match 3D so the maps look worse than XY.
Wild Pokemon variety is still garbage.
It's like a game that takes all the flaws of Gen 3, all the flaws of Gen 6, arbitrarily removes some things, and then fuses them together into one shitpile of a remake.
