Platinum, HGSS, BW, and B2W2 was easily the best stretch of games we've ever had (though I was very disappointed that following Pokemon didn't return in Gen V, especially considering the main narrative theme was how close people and Pokemon are - plus it would've made N's interactions with your Pokemon less awkward). I didn't hate Gen 6/7, but it's a little lacking in several respects.
