MHS is good, but pretty simple combat-wise. There's al ot of other stuff going on that makes its mechanics intersting though.
There's Ni No Kuni DS, which only came out in Japan. Pretty good turn-based game which later got a port/remake for PS3.
I remember trying one of the DQ: Monsters games for DS but not liking it all that much.
Yo-Kai Watch I've played for a bit. I liked the world and the fact that Yo-Kai actually played a noticeable part in a recognizeable daily life, but I absolutely hated the battle system.
Aside from that, I'm not sure. There's a few Digimon games for PSP (Adventure is great, and Re:Digitize is nice if you're into that), but I don't think there's any for DS.
