Some of those are kind of expected to be there in the first place. Especially coming from an improved game. Sure, you named off plenty of things to do, but can we agree on how subjectively fun most of those things are. Most people probably never did the surfing mini game after the tutorial.
And then there's the Battle Tree, aka generic battle after battle, getting points for competitive items/moves. Not really talking shit on this, but facilities like these are expected in every game. What's worse, it's usually the only facility.
I'm not going to say that everything you listed is shit just because i think it is. However, i feel most people have thought those things you've listed aren't fun for very long. How many time are you really going to surf until you break all of the scores? How long are you going to consecutively battle until you're bored? How long are you going to take pictures? How long are you going to go through the ultra worm hole?
And out of all these things to do in the end game, are we seriously supposed to believe this is THE BEST we will get? I understand it's a "kids game." but damn.

most of these are features that I take for granted. Being able to complete the pokedex (which ironically enough there isn't even a complete version if in usum) grind or do online battling isn't bragworthy. TL;DR the game is fun but you can expect to play it forever, this applies to ALL pokemon games

the only thing you can do somehow endlessly (if you only play pokemon) is the PWT

Aside from the content itself. Just look at the Pyramid it's a dungeon crawler with resource management. On top of that different runs have a different focus so one run could be poison while another is weather.
Basically the incentive is less to finish and more to experience.

Despite the fact that it's one of the best grinding spots in the game.

Which does in fact have unlockables and an end. Of course not all of them are mandatory which goes back to what I said before. The incentive is to experience.

Worst part is that ALL they had to do was add a battlle frontier and they would have shut up a lot of the hardcore players, but they are so fucking lazy they couldn't do that for the price of a BRAND NEW BUILT FROM THE GROUND UP GAME. Not only did they not add that much content, they SPLIT IT UP into two versions. It would be really cool if you could still fight the old totems, instead they just split the new and old totems in half to try and get people to double dip again. Fucking greedy, lazy sacks of shit, I fucking hope Gamefreak goes out of business and someone else takes over, they can all fucking die for all I care

Postgame doesn't mean "hurr battle tower" it means content worth replaying, or is replayable period. Most of Alola's best content in both games isn't replayable, completely crippling the games' longevity. They are mediocre at best, why else would this board have a complete drought of content lately? It wasn't even this bad after Kalos. 7th gen is the worst.

As someone who actually liked and played gen 5 unline you, it was the gen with least changes inovations and the most scared to mess with the formula by far: this is an objective fact.
Later gens changed way more the formula which you would know if you ever played them before coming to work here, which is also an objective fact and the reason they are better received overall.
