And yeah, Porygon and its evolutions aren't allowed in the anime, which is another reason to go with Rotom.

I don't think they hate it, it got not one, but TWO new evolutions.

Rotomdex was literally just WE WANT THE YOKAI WATCH AUDIENCE, so the ghost has the edge there too aside from the >>35282194 stated reasons.

Porygon isn't that badly off honestly in spite of taking the fall for Pikachu.

The Pokedex isn't a digital buddy though, it's just an electronic one. Rotom fits that way better, Porygon is much closer to the PC.

Also Porygon's clearly well liked considering they gift it to you constantly, and love making jokes about the thing.
