I been on /vp/ for a while and I've never seen much appreciation for this tight game. What do you guys think about it? Any chance of a sequel? What kingdom/warlord was your favorite?

Hope so.

If they do make a sequel they need to sort out that "one move per Pokémon" dumbshit, literally my only complaint about it.
Also, a sort of "free-mode" would be great as well, conquer the land, rebattle kingdoms you've conquered for dat link grinding.

There are all good suggestions. I would love to see three moves for Pokemon and customizable movesets. Also a bigger maps with potentially larger battles every now and then. It would be super cool to oversee a 20v20

Probably one of the better Pokémon games all told. Definitely the best side-game. I liked the one move per Pokémon limit because it actually made you think and plan who you took into battle. Being a fan of the Samurai Warriors franchise (and the Warring States Period in general) I actually liked the representation of what their world would have been like if you included Pokémon. One of the very few Pokémon Games I haven't got an issue with (aside not actually being able to play as one of the warlords and instead stuck as some generic, if decently designed, random character.) I'd love for it to have a sequel, possibly one where you take on the position of one of the warlords, but barring that, I'd love for them to do a game using the Three Kingdoms Era of Dynasty Warriors.

I loved it in general, Final Fantasy Tactics is my favorite game
I only have a few complaints, and hope that if a sequel is made, they get addressed

pokemon can only have 1 attack
said attack is species locked
pokemon only evolve to its last form with a specific warlord
