completely unrealistic, but here is the pokemon game i want:
i want a game focused on a feel of exploration in the wilderness with pokemon. Open world. survival elements. Calm. Isolated.
If time and game size were no factor, i would love a variety of large cities, as well as small towns, and lots and lots of wilderness. Enough civilization for those that prefer it to be able to stay in civilization. The majority of the game's play area would be wilderness, but you're not required to be out somewhere you dont want to be. have to be able to survive while youre outside.
>survival
not stressful, but enough that you have to prepare for each outting. set up camps, find food and water, herbalism field medicine
>exploration
open world, quiet. forests, mountians, caves, rivers, beaches. the whole shebang. trails between certain locations, but plenty of area to get lost in.
>pokemon
can follow outside of pokeball. more interaction with environment, let pokemon be as much for utility as for battling.
more than 4 moves, ffs.
a wide variety of possible mons to catch. be able to play with the mons you want. need to be in appropriate locations though. some will take some hiking to get to, but dont lock them behind story progression.
have a way for overpowering roaming agressive pokemon to spook players in the field every once in a while
>trainers
plentiful in civilization, spread out farther from town. rechallengable. however, less money and exp reward, not abusable.
>limited pocket/bag space
not like gen1. but limited supplies. can't carry hundreds of potions and pokeballs. plan inventory before setting out
>story/dialogue
ehhh. not what im lookin for. but something in place for lore for those that want to hunt legendary pokemon or whatever theyre into
