I agree. Also to add on to your point he gets Slack Off and has nice base stats. And that's not even mentioning the recovery he gets with Slack Off. Of course Slaking has other means of recovery such as Slack Off, but Slack Off combined with his gigantic base HP and nice speed is enough to deal with the issue.

Honestly truant just needs a rework. I'd like it if it worked more like protect, where slaking is basically guranteed one move but succeeding moves become more and more likely to fail. When one does fail (loafing around) the counter resets. I've reworked a lot of shitmons for a game I'm working on.

So you have to pick between a Speed Slaking which has to take a turn to do anything or a Slow Slaking which will always move last.

It fits the fact its a Sloth/Monkey.

Power creep is mostly a meme, Slaking even with Oblivious would tear OU apart, in fact it would probably be on par or even better than established Ubers like Zekrom.

Alolan slaking is fairy/fire with its stats redistributed to give it 145 speed and 200 attack with the rest in hp/defenses, it gained regenerator and parting shot as an egg move
Reccomanded movesets:
Play Rough / z-Lazy Loafer (200 BP)
Flare blitz / event sacred fire
Wood hammer / Earthquake / event thousand arrows
Slack-off / parting shot
Z crystal, life orb or leftovers. Fuck it choice band too.
