I mean, when something is consistent for well over a decade it can be generally assumed that things will continue in that fashion until evidence comes out to the contrary.

There's literally no reason to expect a Gen 1 remake (ESPECIALLY for one to start a new Gen) other than wishful thinking from a nostalgiafag unable to move on.

Yeah, I love that time they made a third version instead of a sequel for BW. And that time they remade RS in gen 5 because retarded patternfags like yourself thought they have to release a remake every gen. And that time they made a follow up Kalos game to XY.

memes aside i'd be very disappointed if they were actually doing a kanto remake in place of a proper new gen 8 game for the switch. it would be the fifth time the franchise has went back to kanto. i get that it's an iconic region but christ i've seen it all before plenty of times. even like a time skip where a lot of things are different would be lame.
