So apparently there's been a leak about Pokemon Rumble for the Switch, so do you think the game will be any good? What does /vp/ think of the Rumble series anyway?

It was good until it went f2p. If the switch game is a port of the mobile game it won't be any better than the last 3ds one

I always felt there was something off about Rumble. I think it's the fact that you have to keep replacing your Pokemon with more powerful ones rather than training the same Pokemon. And then you end up with 500 worthless low level Pokemon.

I remember having crazy fun with friends on the Wii game.

Then we bought the Wii-U one and it sucked.

I put a lot of time into the 3DS one and thought it was pretty okay. I think a mesh of the Wii/3DS would probably work the best.

One gripe I've always had was with how linear the stages were. I was always wanting to find a "hidden exit" or something that'd take you to an alternate era with a secret boss or something.

Yeah I get that, but the constant churn of Pokemon just feels weird. Also it's so tedious to keep releasing stuff.

The most boring of the spin-offs, and shouldn't have happened ever. It's literally battling random mons in boring scenarios, with no rewards over it. Even Poké-Park looks like a 10/10 game in front of that.

Rumble is one of those series that feels even worse than it is because it's ALMOST good, but it's not quite there. It just makes me constantly wish it was a better game.

I'd love for Rumble on Switch to be good, but I can't let myself expect it.
