Can anyone explain the starterwars to me? What's so special about Incineroar and Decidueye that people will argue at each other over which one is better?

Also, don't forget Popplio being shat on by Litten and Rowlet's fanbase, but then Primarina's fanbase acting just as obnoxious as they were back then after all this time. They had a chance to redeem themselves and they didn't.

I can't speak for gen1, wasn't even using the internet back then.

Either way, for as long as people were developed enough to notice divisiveness within a culture, people have felt the need to validate why they like theirs best.

Bit of a correction: The Litten camp kind of got fractured upon the design leaks with those who jumped ship, the Everstone group, and the people who legit loved the left turn the evolution took. It was the last camp that received the most flak due to Fire/Fighting and fur memes but came out on top for calling Fire/Dark and got bolstered by what appears to be favoritism by GF during S/M and US/UM.
