How is the gamecube emulation? is it playable without bugs? I have these specs so I am sure it can run pretty much perfectly.

I don't really know man, I played it on the actual hardware. If your computer can run other GCN games on Dolphin then it should be fine.

I should give it a try then. I love the miror b memes, but never played it because there is literally no gba trade in anyway, unless you have the actual hardware. Same for the Lugia gamecube game, that can't be mentioned.

Good, the snatching did limit your choice of Pokémon and the inability to catch pokémon normally originally annoyed me, but i kinda grew appreciate that as time went on since it was more a gentle nudge to do more with less, and the forced doubles? Amazing since back then doubles WASN'T the dominant format and Sapphire was kinda lacking in them, so more of that was great.

Yeah the boxes don't really make sense in Colosseum IIRC. In XD you can catch some wild Pokémon though.

Playing it for the first time right now. Just beat Mirror B for the first time. I still legitimately have no idea what's going on story-wise or why no NPC trainers appear to be phased that I stole their Pokémon mid-battle.

Not like Nincada is hard to catch and evolve.

Still doing it ~50-40 times would be annoying

its fine one gamecube
but if you want to transfer those mons to GB game there is no way to do it since even with a gamecube adaptor and gba cable
Dolphin will not pick up the cable at all

It's either WXVBA-M-1.8.0-SVN1292_TEST-win32 or VisualBoyAdvance-M-WX-2.0.0-beta2 that can instantiate a VBA to Dolphin connection which is how I sent wishmakr rachis to my GBA save file. If you don't want to bother with a song and a dance transferring pokemon, just use pkhex to dump your pokemon from your gamecube save into your other save files

I was playing and it was just trainer after trainer after trainer, I had more than a dozen pokemon after fighting through much of some cave, and I hadn't even gotten far enough to purify any of them, and it was still just trainer after trainer.

I don't like it at all. Purifying takes forever, the Pokemon roster is dogshit, every single battle is slow as fuck, catching Pokemon can be a massive pain in the ass, unskippable cutscenes, barely anything to do other than the story... I really didn't like it.

I played through XD and actually enjoyed it. Not sure what the difference is but I'd much easier stand up for that game. I actually finished that one. Only got about 75% on Colosseum
