As for competitive in general, it's a joke now. Every team needs at least one Mega, one Tapu, and one or more UB to be considered viable and OU is pretty much filled with them and legendaries or pseudos. The power creep has gone insane and I wish GF would do some internal tiering to reduce it like for example, your team can use 6 slots instead of 6 pokemon:
>1 slot: normal wild pokemon and starters>2 slots: Megas, pseudo legendaries>3 slots: normal legendaries, mystical pokemon, Tapus and UBs, Megas of pseudo legendaries>4 slots: Zekrom, Reshiram, Mewtwo, Groudon, and all the other 580 BST legends>6 slots: Mega legendaries I know it would be incredibly controversial, and Mewtwo/Fug fans would want to kill me on sight but it's honestly the only way I could see GF making the game slightly better balanced
