The absence of the usual senior staff members from the Gen VII largely, along with a confirmed smaller than usual and majority younger staff members who'd worked on getting USM out. Nintendo having (as yet) no clear blockbuster holiday title and looking at their roster of upcoming releases no clear title to take that position if Pokémon doesn't show up (Sorry Smashfriends, Smash will launch either late August/Early September to support the Online, like Splatoon 2 was supposed to do last year. and even then, last time Pokémon and Smash released titles around the same time, Pokémon outsold both versions of Smash individually - no reason to think Nintendo WOULDN'T want both out, if the both cal pull in about 14 1/2 million sales apiece and the associated other incidentals people buy at that time of year.). Nintendo still saying it in their investor's report 2Q in a row. Even no announcement yet isn't worrying me as, realistically, despite when the last 2 Gens were announced, they waited until May of that year to start releasing information. Masuda apologised on Twitter for Gen VII's delay is making me think HE decided not to announce so early until they were ready (or nearly so) to start showing off trailers and ting. Either way, I feel E3 isn't out of the question, but on the whole, when there's less than 6 months time to the 2nd week in Nov (what I feel is likeliest release period) with no announcement is when I'll concede and not a jiffy sooner.
