I'm sorry but the original Black/White were much stronger games overall. It was a fresh new experience that tried to break the mold and move the series in a new direction while still hearkening back to the games of old.

Pokémon peaked with the 2ds. DP were shit but everything that came after it was great. Still waiting for Gamefreak to get it’s shit back together but after an entire console’s worth of garbage I don’t see it happening. Switch is going to have unskippable cutscene hallways, no dungeons, free legendary handouts by the third gym, and each trainer will have one Pokémon each. Elite four will be cut down to three each. Festival plaza will be replaced by something even worse, tied to a phone app. “Postgame” will be another battle tower reskin and another shitty special episode with zero challenge. There will only be 20 new Pokémon. The best days are behind us.
