Introduce elemental headbutts and give it horn leech give it an ability that boosts horn/headbutt moves, +5 to attack and HP to make intimidate/assault vest an option, swords dance or bulk up, stealth rock to be generous

dragon type was mostly physical after the phys/special split. offensive normal types lost their neutral coverage niche.

Shit bait. Gen 1 had absolutely nothing in terms of available moves, and most Pokemon had absolutely shit movepools.
Plus the Physical/Special split was the best thing to happen to the series, allows way more design space.

Moves. If Nidoking can perform well in UU without any relevant stats over 100, then Tauros easily could with 100 attack and 110 speed.

There are just not enough physical moves to take advantage of Sheer Force and the ones we have are either too weak or would make no sense on Tauros.

normal is a trash offensive type, anyway. Nidoking gets earth power and bolt beam in comparison

Normal STAB is fine, it just has no coverage moves to take advantage of it. Giving it Flare Blitz and giving Wild Charge a chance to paralyze would help out Tauros a lot.
