>>35318686Now I want to talk about Festival Plaza. I. Fucking. HATE. Festival Plaza. This links back to the removal of DexNav complaint. Festival Plaza is the online component of the game. But whenever you want to go online you have to stop what you're doing and load the Festival Plaza which is an entirely separate area where you can trade and battle and do little minigames. But because its separate from the actual game, if you want to say pick up a few things from your PC inbetween battles or trading, you have to leave the plaza and reload the main game. Do your business. Reload the plaza. Sign in online until FINALLY you can get back to your online business. It's not so much a step backward as it is pulling off at the wrong exit and getting back on the highway and going the opposite direction.
PokePelago is something I don't know how to feel about. It basically is the replacement for EV Training, Berry farming, and depending on how lazy you're feeling egg hatching. For example instead of Super Training where you focus on one Pokemon, the Pelago makes it so you can post up to 18 Pokemon and EV train the all at the same time. But it does this on a timer. Meaning the best way to EV train a Pokemon is to put them on one of the islands, give it the juice for the stat you want to raise, and then basically do something else for like 12 hours. If that sounds too long then your next option is to grind SOS battles.
Which I guess I'll talk about that too. SOS battles is a new thing where wild Pokemon can call in help. Basically the replacement to horde battles. This is good in theory, you can use it to chain Pokemon until you get the ability you want or maybe even a shiny. But here's the problem, you can't catch Pokemon until you reduce the number to 1. I've had times where it took forever to catch one Pokemon because it wouldn't stop calling in help and when a Pokemon is at critical health its more likely to actually get that help.
All in all SuMo is just decent.
