What about mythicals? They're not "banned", they're restricted due to being event exclusive, and are designed with that in mind.

Yeah, because Game Freak TOTALLY tries so hard to make Doubles the official meta by making it a side thing in the casual ingame and not making you play it like they did in Colosseum or Gale of Darkness.

And of course, they do SUCH a good job balancing Doubles once you try hard enough to ignore the cookie cutter teams of Landorus-T and Tapu Koko because it's not like it's the developers' job to nerf, buff or rebalance anything.
