customization
online was decent with the functionality once you figured it out
>Cons:seemed half a game
way too hard of a gen 1 pander
hands player free power
poorly optimized
want a haircut that you pay for but have to look up a wiki to pick the one you want...
megas for pokemon that didn't need them (gengar, parental bond..., lucario, etc...)
fairy type (let's make a type to balance dragon, the powerful type with 2 weaknesses, I KNOW! a type that is strong and has 2 weaknesses)
>verdictIn all xy is my least favorite, the starters were meh imo, and too much of the game was just "HEY, that gen 1" or "here have some", i was reluctant to upgrade to 3ds and kinda regret doing it at the time. Lots of things that should have been cool and interesting weren't and seemed half baked. If you love it good on ya, but that is my qualms with the games.
>Oras>ProsPokefinder was amazing, imo, it is better than sos in every way, it should have stayed.
Hard bias because was my first gen game i owned.
Water (go fuck yourself IGN)
revamped the big bads with some really nice designs for aqua, and fitting ones for magma
>ConsMore megas for pokemon that didn't fucking need them because of how powerful they already are (metagross, salamance, etc...)
end game dick punch
>verdictBiased to gen 3, but in all i found it a decent experience, but nothing too special, but nothing that made them awful. A few one offs, but really mad how well the poke finder worked so well. was a bummer the customization was ditched, but i wasn't too attached to it in XY
>SM>prosmixed up some of the formula
regional variants
interesting twist even if it is a bit foreshadowed at times
>consdo i even need to talk about the tutorials/cutscenes...
customization was infuriating, "oh you want blue in sun or orange in moon, LUL fuck you kid"
ultra space is just silly, interesting, but just makes pokemon themselves less special.
SM.5
Same but more variety with meh end game.
