No one has hard facts here, but there are just so many reasons to believe this isn't the case. Not to mention, it was never stated that GF actually got a devkit, if they did get one early it could simply be because they are a close developer to Nintendo. For all we know they could have got devkits for every Nintendo console which they never ended up developing for.
>>35325300No one knows precisely how GF operates, but we know roughly based on things they've said in interviews, the lengths between generations, and in general how Pokemon has worked for 20 years. I'm not sure what game industry knowledge you're talking about but Pokemon doesn't exactly follow all the same rules as your average game in the first place.
