>>35333136>contThe third and last potential idea, is to just forget about the alternative options I offered. The problem with the path the designer chose, is that the duality ice-cream vs icicle is extremely unbalanced: so fix that.
Ditch the straw, keep both heads, and keep them happy.
Make the ice bottom body much more irregular and about 40% bigger to remind us better of an ice stalactite. Change the shape of the snow-covered heads but don't go overboard there, so we can still see how it is imitating the form of an ice-cream.
I mean, there's a thick line between imitation, and complete perfect reproduction.
Instead of ending with a balance of 95/5 in favor of the ice-cream thematic, make the icicle elements more prevalent and try to bring it to a 50/50.
To summarize things up, Vanilluxe has some interesting details and a neat idea behind the duality IC-stalactite.
The problem is that neither of those details get explored, the stalactite elements get lost in the design, and it all ends up being swallowed by the heavy ice-cream thematic.
My problem isn't the ice-cream thing, it's that I expected more than that. The aesthetics of the line are nice, the execution is just boring because the duality of the idea could have been balanced way better.
Also, I'd like to clarify that these are my reasons for not liking the line, but that doesn't mean I hate it.
This board has problems understanding that there's a middle ground between hating and liking something.
