I am having a fucking horrible day. Last night I did nothing but cry and have panic attacks because my mom hates me now and has pretty much disowned me. I feel all alone on the universe and it's so scary.

I went to Journey Across America as kid. That was a fun time. Competed in a tournament and got Celebi. I also loved the anime so much and just everything Pokemon. My sister took me to the event. I still have that Celebi and the Pokemon I used in Ultra Moon.

I'm sorry anon. I'm hoping that she's just particularly mad at the moment and isn't really doing that - blowing off steam and all that, if in the absolute worst way possible. But you aren't alone. Crazy as it may sound - I sincerely believe it. I am sure you have people to talk to, friends, even if it doesn't seem like it at first. And at the least, I am rooting for you.

One of the more recent fun things that happened was softresetting for a shiny Guzzlord and having it appear in under less than 10 tries

Day has been good, very relaxing and chill.

I'll always remember running around my village all afternoon and then rushing home to watch the latest episode of the anime (it aired around 7pm or something in my country. I also vividly remember buying these strange bootleg bubblegums in droves because they came with stickers of gen 2 Pokemon and since nobody had the Internet back then, that was our only way of seeing all these cool new Pokemon until the anime caught up.

I'm doing great today! I started a new job yesterday, it is full time, has benefits, and I'll have weekends off! Hope you and everyone else are doing well!

Favorite Pokemon memory: Playing through Sapphire on an emulator months after the release in Japan. I wasnt really interested in the series anymore, but found a translated version online and decided to play it. It snowed that week and school was out. My parents' house is heated by a wood stove, and the office was always cold. I sat in that chair, bundled up in blankets, and played the fuck out of that game for a week. I hadn't seen any of the Pokemon before so I got to experience the surprise and hardships of evolution. I still remember that team to this day: Blaziken, Pelliper, Gardevoir, Armaldo, Ludicolo, and Aggron

At what's now Nintendo World in NYC, I won a raffle being nth in line to get a free copy of Platinum signed by Masuda, some Giratina figure, a Giratina DS case, I think a Platinum strap backpack, and maybe something else but idr. Was on the day before official release iirc.

I remember how after school I would watch Pokémon on TV with my mom. It's nothing exciting, but I'd do anything to be able to do that with her again. Back then I didn't have an actual favorite, but after a few years and Gen 4 being around Mamoswine became my favorite. I don't have any cute fanart yet on this computer.
Which mon is your favorite, fren? Is it Squirtle?

My favorite memory is playing sinnoh underground CTF with all the neighborhood kids. My brother, two friends, and their siblings for a total of 7 people. It was just so much fun building bases on summer days and then stealing each others flag. Since then we've all moved on and don't really talk to each other but I'm sure they're doing well. Currently I am feeling anxious because I'm taking my drivers exam (written) as a 21 yor today, which is pretty embarrassing but I have been studying this time so I hope it pays off.

HOLY. That's some luck. Gen IV was definitely a good and understated time for Pokemon and I'm jealous since it may be my overall favorite gen, tied with II just for feeling so fresh as sequels go. I'm glad that was a fantastic day.

Mamoswine is on my official dream team, so your taste in Pokemon is excellent if you ask me. But you have those memories of your mom forever, and I know she enjoyed it as much as you did. As for me - the Squirtle and Litten lines are tied. I love turtles and Blastoise being an old reliable fave. But I also love cats, and taking in an abandoned cat who was very territorial and aggressive and even big/muscular/big-pawed (Wedgie cat) associated Incineroar as the Pokemon-equivalent to her and I promptly loved it.

Probably reaching level 100 with all three starters in Crystal. I just played that game over and over, I loved it so much. I don't recall hitting level 100 in Gen 1 because I was a bit too young to put in that kind of time and dedication, but I was on Gen 2 like a fly on shit. And my favorite Pokemon was Kingler, which I used on every team, even when I already had Feraligatr.

Close seconds would be the first time I beat Ruby, which I quite literally Struggle'd through with my female Blaziken named Maggie, and the first time I beat Red, with my ace being Dugtrio.

At the time, Pokemania was officially over and it was my first year of high school. I was trying to be more "adult" and decided to leave Pokemon behind me but... Curiosity got the best of me and I downloaded the game. I've been pretty faithful to the franchise since then.

I ended up on vp in 2015 when the whole Z/X2/Y2/ vs Gen 7 debate was going on and I stuck around. While a lot of threads here are garbage (I can't stand the 2018/2019 debate going on right now) I really enjoyed draw threads, rom hacks, and threads like these where people are being friendly to each other and having civil discussions. I appreciate you and this thread, OP.

I'm from somewhere in Eastern Europe (but still in EU). We got the anime somewhat later than the rest of the world, I can't say I can pinpoint a specific year. But my most awesome memories are of the Orange Islands and pretty much everything relating to Johto. Pic related is my most memorable and favorite episode.

I didn't play pokemon much during my school years and my life was mostly working and commuting in and out of school. Then when I got into college, the first year was a breeze and Pokemon X/Y had just come out. I got back into pokemon and had tons of free time to play it and farm shinies etc. I just generally miss that time in my life, staying up all night listening to podcasts while hatching eggs and battling online. Probably the only truly care free period of my life

Grinding Sycters in Safari Zone. I was 11 at the time and didn't know wtf was doing. After 1 week or so someone told me that there is no Scyter in blue. Borrowed a red version from a friend and finally caught Scyter after shitload of encounters and wasted Safari Balls. Then I bought the fucking cable and transferred it to my blue version. It was the best day ever.

Gen II is probably my favorite gen tied with IV for feeling like a sequel done right. Also, Kingler was great. Way back in Indigo League it always felt cool and dependable, you know? Ash catching some non-star mons was nice like that.

It IS relaxing. I was like that during Gen IV, with a planned team in mind and re-living the whole Pokemon future at the time with all the extra worldbuilding. XY was comfy too! I like they at least tried to give a friends group to you and the headcanon I had of the two starters being bros to one another always made me grin.

I only have one memory, and that was seeing my sister playing various Pokémon games, including Hoenn and MD games. We had fun together, when despite I knew nothing about Pokémon back then, I would say and point things that would help her in the game, while she were just playing.

Now, I'm playing Explorers of Sky for the first time. The mainline games are boring and tedious for me, so that's why I will from now on follow the MD's spin-off. They feel much better to play, and plus, my sister got quite happy when I told her if she could recommend me a MD game, since she had a wish through years that I would be into Pokémon like her too.
