There's something really depressing about knowing that there are active people on /vp/ who honestly enjoy the anime. They have to be going out of their way to avoid watching anything decent.

1. For the Pokemon series yes, it's good but not the best.

In the game, Pokemon are supposed to be balanced.
In the anime, there is so much Pokemon infinitely more powerful than him.

What's the problem with it ? It can be enjoyable at times and has nice animation.
I watch dozen of animes per year and Pokémon is the only long running anime i'm able to enjoy.
People who have a problem with it sound like if they were bullied in high school for watching it

I hate how each region ends with Ash getting his ass beat in the final tournament where it matters the most. If each region was 52 episodes at most I wouldn't hate it nearly as much.

I'm watching the anime because for the first time ever it's not the "meet gym leader and starting trainer from Region, travel region, have battle against gym leader bro at some stage, lose in the league" formula and honestly it's been for the best It won't happen, lack of filler this season really helps with watching it too. But I'd love next year's anime to be just Ash + Pikachu as the main chars and everyone else either transient or arc characters (TR get a pass, they're actually good in the native version), popping up every so often and disappearing just as often.
But I know it's going to go back to its old tired formula and I'll stop watching it again.
