Excluding Uber mons and niche mons like Registeel, Hippowdon is best possible switchin to Banded Rampardos, and it can only avoid the 2HKO ONCE a battle. Head Smash is OHKO'ing literally everything in OU, and anything that isn't OHKO'd is 2HKO'd. Resistances don't mean shit. Landorus' Intimidate doesn't mean shit.
-1 252+ Atk Choice Band Rampardos Head Smash vs. 252 HP / 240+ Def Landorus-Therian: 250-295 (65.4 - 77.2%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery
The literal only downside would be Rampardos' speed at that point, but under Trick Room it's fucking over if your Scizor got Magnet Trapped/or you don't have one. People would be splashing Rampardos on their OU teams for free nukes that put Victini to shame

There is not one mega that's in a lower usage tier than its base form. Kangaskhan had the biggest jump of them all, going from PU all the way to Ubers.

Rock Head with some insane speed tier seemed too easy, and I didn't want to make a strictly better or worse Terrakion. The speed tier makes him usable without being a speedster. The attack boosts let him threaten pretty much anything across various mixed and SD sets. Mold Breaker combined with his insane power lets him possibly set Stealth Rock without fearing Magic Bounce mindgames or any Defogger.

Give it a forge motif, like how a blacksmith would use a forge to shape a shield. Make it pure Steel with an ability that gives Fire resistance, Poison Heal for burns, or both.

The more I type the more I'm reminded of Heatran, but I still really like the flavor.
