Several months ago, a user of Smogon/Pokemon Showdown (Paycard) snaked some dude in a ladder battle and stole his ladder points, which apparently led to some drama: https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/gen7anythinggoes-664867561

Recently, Smogon was hacked by the same guy who deleted the Despacito + Adele songs. The hacker and affiliated people found out that Paycard is a black called Kiante Sterling, and found his Facebook page.

Since smogon's system suck a huge amount and has no official draw button coded they agreed on a pseudo-method for draw instead after an auth's friend insisted, turns out that guy just wanted to game the system to cheat his friend's opponent, what's funnier is how it got completely unpunished afterwards, and people in there took the offender's side in public
10/10 would definitely use that site again

Fucking hell, I watched 70 turns. Then I got bored and skipped to 100, 200, 300, 500, 700, then 800 turns before the actual final turn was made. Fuuck. Id have went away already if I didnt win by 100.
Basically after Lugia died, nothing else happened and it was a 4-5 draw.

Basically back in November Kiante and his opponent (Final Elite Master) were in a game, but the battle turned out to be never ending, because it was just endless switching with neither side attacking. They were told that they could tie the battle if both sides let the battle timer run out so they tried that. But Kiante clicked a move in the last second and won, hence why he 'stole his opponent's ladder points'.

Fast forward to last tuesday and some dude hacked Smogon - see this thread: https://www.smogon.com/forums/threads/we-were-hacked-recently-you-may-potentially-want-to-change-your-passwords.3632265/

The hacker leaked info and people somehow managed to track down the irl info of Kiante and began spreading memes on PS about him stealing ladder points. Cause you know, the black people stealing steroetype. Hence the pic in the OP.

The two battlers just swapped for 700+ turns instead of battling like normal people. Final Master Elite could have set up hazards to make this much less of a problem, but I have no idea why he didn't. At the end, the two agreed to stall out the timer for a draw, but then someone called a mod and the mod didn't force a draw. I assume Paycard clicked a move at the end, as the game resulted in Final stalling out the timer.
And now this thread is up over two nobodies on a chinese cockfighting simulator.
This is all over ten fucking points on a complete meme ladder.
