>>35343439I will never give up 100% on 2018. That would be asinine.
They can do as they wish. If they wanted to they could announce it the morning of January 1st in Japan for release that afternoon meaning it would 2018 here.
Will they do that? Almost certainly not but I'm going to say they won't because they're demonstrably retarded and even if they weren't they could still do what they want.
Since they announced it last year and then it was followed up in July's report as 2018 or later I've been assuming if it were to release this year it would be announced between Pokémon Day and E3 with a far out possibility of an announcement as late as the first few days of August when factoring in all previous games.
With maybe a 30% chance of an announcement in June - August being for a spring 2019 release (February 27th to April 22nd is what I'd bet on being the latest). After E3 I'll be like 99% sure it's 2019 and after early August it'll be more like 99.9999%.
The only thing that can really sway me from this would be if the financials this month no longer says 2018. They'd know by now so if it still says 2018 in a couple weeks, then it immediately swaps to 100% 2018. It makes no sense that they'd still list it as 2018 now if it's not coming in 2018. Though I would say an announcement not coming before it releases (on the 26th, I believe) would surprise me if it does still say 2018. They'd have to know we understand the implication of April's report still saying 2018 so it would be smart to get out in front of it.
