Will Gamefreak ever respect people' choices and treat them equally or it will be always some starter getting all the attention and pandering every generation while the others gets into ignore-hell?

Incineroar is the most popular in Japan. Look at how that barashit got into the latest movie, got heavily buffed in USUM, got its cock sucked hard in the anime, etc..

I guess the issue was the attention GF gives each starter, which is still an issue in gen 7 with the clear cat faveroitism.

I doubt it. Pokemon is, above all, a business. With how popular it is and how much money it generates, they need to pick specific mons to focus advertising and budget on in order to make the most revenue. It sucks, but the lesser popular starters aren't likely to make them money so they ignore them.

Incineroar isn't the least popular starter though, Decidueye isn't in the pic.
If you count basic forms, then Rowlet got more shilling than anything else this gen, so you can't complain about favoritism here.

Why literally only them do that though?
Seeing other franchise, for example, Gundam, they don't ignore every unpopular entry so only Seed and 00 fans enjoy the series.
Gundam VS Gundam series included every gundam show, making the roster going up almost 50 playable character. Pokemon only offer 20 and two of them are repetitive (Pikachu/Mewtwo).

It's kinda impressive that their SD Gundam series literally featured every single unit from every gundam anime/manga/specials at the time of its release. IIRC, it has over 1000 playable unit which is kinda insane.
and yet the most successful franchise is afraid to put few unpopular mons thinking it might bring disaster to their economy.

You mean being a side character in the anime. It still hasn't gotten a single focus arc or episode dedicated to it and is the least developed character in the SM anime, and still only knows three moves.
