Imagine we got a Kanto remake... BUT... they retcon a lot of stuff and add new evos for old pokemon.

Kanto pokemon changes:

- Butterfree (Bug/Psychic)
- Fearow (Dark/Flying)
- Arbok (Poison/Dark)
- Ninetales (Fire/Fairy)
- Parasect (Bug/Ghost)
- Venomoth (Psychic/Poison)
- Psyduck/Golduck (Water/Psychic)
- Geodude (Rock, w/Levitate)
- Seel (Water/Ice)
- Chansey (Fairy)
- Electabuzz/Electivire (Electric/Fighting)
- Aerodactyl (Rock/Dragon)

- Primeape evolution (Fighting/Dark)
- Ponyta split evolution (Fire/Flying)
- Farfetch'd evolution (Fighting/Flying)
- Mr.Mime evolution (Psychic/Fairy)
- Jynx evolution (Ice/Psychic)
- Tauros/Miltank prevo (Normal)
- Kangaskhan prevo (Normal)

Additional pokemon now in Kanto:

- All cross-gen evolutions/mega evolutions of Kanto pokemon
- Murkrow / Houndour / Slugma (like in GSC)
- Chinchou / Qwilfish / Remoraid / Corsola / Mantyke (in the sea)
- New areas having pokemon that were "always there" - e.g. Torkoal in Cinnabar Volcano, Minior in Mt.Moon Square, etc.
- A quirky collection of later gen pokemon in a big Fuschia Safari Zone

Sevii Islands:

- a range of later gen pokemon accessible naturally in the wild

Would that be enough to make a return to Kanto exciting and fresh?
