I know I have the memory of an autist but it annoys me when people talk how forgettable one Pokemon is. People always talk "forgettable" Pokemon in a negative way, and I find that kinda an unfair reason why to hate one mon.
Also if you call these mons forgettable, why can you remember the names of them? It's kinda reverse psychology if you ask me

I had to look up Basculin's name.

It wasnt supposed to be a negative thing. Im genuinely interested in anons strong memories of these mons I sometimes have trouble coming up with ones for.

Don't have a strong memory on Dewgong in general, but I've always liked its simplistic yet elegant design.

Ash having one was a big reason in making it memorable for myself. Other than that, that big claw is pretty cool.

I really like the Oddish line and despite me liking Vileplume more, Belossom is still cute.

I just can't seem to forget Qwilfish despite it being brought up as "forgettable" quite a lot. I think it has to do with seeing it a lot in the lower tiers because it's a beast.

Even though it is my least favorite Johto starter and that I've never used one, I will never be able to forget a single starter.

Always used to pick up a Seedot in the Gen 3 games because Shiftry was a solid choice for a Grass teammate. Definitely the most memorable on this list.

All that I know it for is Prankster shenanigans with Thunder Wave, Encore, Tail Glow, Substitute, Baton Pass, etc. Other than that, ugly design and barely memorable in the main games.

Same as Volbeat but without a competitive niche, which makes it even more forgettable. In fact, I mostly remember it because of Volbeat.
>Stantler
I wish I could forget it if I could, but Stantler has to be one of my personal least favourites that I simply cannot do that. Really ugly, almost entirely useless and wouldn't be missed if it was permanently removed.
>Chimecho
It was James' Pokemon for a while, and it was a Guild Member in EoT/D/S, so I probably remember it more than I should. I will give you that it's forgettable in the main games.

Walrein's pretty nice, used it a few times. Though it wasn't all that exciting to use, its pre-evos are really cute.
>Gorebyss
Only memorable because it was a split evo, nothing more to say.

Same as Gorebyss, but I like its design more.

The Pokemon that is brought up as the most forgettable so much that it actually became memorable. Also, I hunted for a shiny Finneon a while back so I can't forget Lumineon. The design is very pretty as well.

It having adaptability and maybe the two different stripe colours are its only saving grave, otherwise I only remember it for being a rushed concept into the Gen 5 games.

SMD helped me remember it, and I've always been intrigued by its design. I may want to use Beheeyem on an in-game team sometime just to see how it plays out.

Never used one, but it being a bear is reason enough to remember it well. It also gaining a new ability this Gen was also a nice change in things.

Really don't like this Pokemon because its absolutely hideous and just looks like a dumb excuse to put an Ice type into the 6th Gen.

Used it on my team in Yellow since you get one in an ingame trade. The preset nickname was Cezanne, I think? Also the TCG Base Set card of it looks sick.

Don't think I ever used this one. It had its time in the limelight in the anime, though. Also had some cool TCG cards.

You best not be shitting on the flower brachiosaurus. Dinosaurs are COOL. Nobody can tell me otherwise. Used it in my second Crystal save file and in HeartGold. You would not believe how useful Reflect and Light Screen can be in singleplayer.

Oh hey it's that weird Bug Pokemon they used to promote Ruby & Sapphire in all the magazine ads in 2002.

You may not care about Stantler, but to me a deer monster with mindfuck powers (as described by the Pokedex) is fucking neat. One of the more memorable gen 2 monsters for sure. I trained up one in Crystal to catch the roaming beasts with, Haunter was too mainstream for me.

Pokemon trading card game 2 dewgong has 2 interesting attacks, a move that heals Dewgong of all damage and another with a 50% chance to paralyze I think. In the game pokemon brown or something it was the mvp of my Kanto team because it was caught really early, god bless the game dev. I would never use the darn thing if it was lategame. Dewgong also had 95 special stat which made it hit hard

Evolving these motherfuckers to finish off my Sapphire Pokedex. Hoenn's oceans were full of a lot of obscure, hard-to-evolve bullshit, though none so obscure as Kingdra, the final Pokemon I needed to complete my dex.

Listen, it's cool if you like the gen 5 games for whatever reason, but don't pretend Basculin is memorable. The dev team literally forgot to put it in until the last minute. Also Meganium is just a Venusaur rehash but bad, there's no reason to remember it

Get Maractus on the list and remove Meganium (it's a goddamned starter mon), Walrein (one of the most memorable ice types, and evolves from Spheal who literally everyone knows), and Beheeyem (Pokemon Super Mystery Dungeon).
Maybe add Yamask to the list as well? Cofagrius was memorable because SMD too, but Yamask themselves is extremely forgettable.
