>>35366248Pokemon is one of those games where you can tune your own experience to match what you enjoy, whether it be somewhat challenging, or walk in the park easy.
I am going off tangent here, but bear with me. In Dark Souls, you CAN grind souls and loot and get basically the best armor and weapon/spells within the first few bosses if you so desire. No one claims Dark Souls have an easy mode, but if you are already high SL and have high tier gear by the time you see the first few bosses, you definitely are playing it on 'easy'.
Same could be said for Pokemon. If you pull your head out off your ass for a minute, you can fine-tune the experience playing Pokemon however you enjoy it. Turning off exp share, Set instead of Switch, not overly grinding, not running back to the PC after every battle so you remember to stock up on antidotes and Potions; etc. Noone claims Pokemon is hard, the market they are after is kids after all. But that does not mean I can't have an enjoyable time playing it differently.
Recently, I played Platinum with some of these restrictions (exp share on but on a shitmon on the sixth slot, no overlly grinding, not bitching back to the PC everytime). I have quite a fun time playing it, it was comfortably difficult. Makes me actually fear bringing out Gabite against a Sneasel and made me think about the battle, if a little.
So yeah, use Amie/Refresh if you want. Turn on Switch and Exp Share. Heck, trade a legendary from GTS if you so desire. Should people care what you fucking do ingame? No. Are you playing it on easy? Fuck yes.
