Why do Pokemon fans (especially on this board) care about a game having too many cutscenes? Are the battles not cutscenes and moves cutscene selectors?

because the cutscenes in SM are incredibly poorly paced and the writing offered in them was uninteresting 9 times out of 10

I don’t mind cutscenes the first time around but the amount of forced stops and tutorials and all of this other shit makes replays a chore
