An immunity is still better than a resistance, and there's also the Sp. Atk boost as of Gen 5

The only other Pokemon with lightning rod (Except A-Marowak, which doesn't have a weakness to electric) are either ground types or electric types, Seaking IS the physical attacker that is weak to electric (I'm not counting Goldeen since it's a pre-evolution)

Marowak only has base 80 Sp. Def though, so any special Electric attack that it gets hit by is going to hurt

The hell is the point of these "essentially an extra immunity" abilities if they're given to Pokemon who probably don't really need them? Meanwhile Levitate is handed out like candy.

Never thought of that, it'd be pretty damn good.
Fun fact Light Metal is literally useless on Metagross, even if halved its weight will always make moves like Low Kick and Grass Knot deal maximum damage.
