What if the Johto starters get Megas in the future? Do you think Z-moves will cut it?

Mega Meganium
Type: Grass/Fairy
Ability: Aroma Veil
Base Stats: 80/82/140/83/140/100
Now learns: Dazzling Gleam

Mega Typhlosion
Type: Fire/Ground
Ability: No Guard
Base Stats: 78/135/78/138/85/120
Now learns: Earth Power

Mega Feraligatr
Type: Water/Dragon
Ability: Tough Claws
Base Stats: 85/155/120/79/83/108

Any suggestions?

I honestly don't think Gamefreak will continue making megas. I was hoping for it before 7th gen came out and I hope for the same thing now.

Mega Meganium wouldn't care about Dazzling Gleam but Fairy typing would be helpful when setting up screens.
Mega Typhlosion seems fun.
Mega Feraligatr just seems obnoxiously strong. 155 base attack with Tough Claws and access to Dragon Dance. Jesus.

I'd rather give Ferligatr Strong Jaw and Dark typing for STAB Crunch. Just seems more fitting for an alligator/crocodile than Tough Claws.

Well considering Megas are dead and z moves are shit no. But the idea of battle bond like with ash's greninja could come into play with other Pokémon like the johto starters. For example Gold Typhlosion Silver Feraligatr, Kris Meganium

Feraligatr already has sheerforce+life orb. In RU it's amazing and ingame in HGSS it's great. It's only hurt by it's ass speed which frankly can be dealt with by taking of like 20 points form Sp.A. It doesn't have to be 120, just enough to outspeed more guys with one DD.

That's really the issue of mega feraligatr; a mega with strong jaw would fit perfectly, but we have sharpedo. A water/dark mega in general would feel really redundant with gyarados and sharpedo, which leaves dragon to complete a sort of trio with charizard and sceptile, or fighting or ice for good secondary STAB. But neither one really feels like it fits.

Mega Meganium is almost entirely a downgrade from Mega Venusaur. Also, I seriously doubt that Feraligatr would get banned.
