It doesn't. People keep claiming "rat" but that makes no sense. Typhlosion is not a rat in any shape or form. Cyndaquil is a "fire mouse" which is not a rat and not the final evolution.

Also Delphox is a fox, not a dog.

Not necessarily, a snake would simply work well in any central or south American country. Mostly because I want a rattlesnake.
