Nothing wrong with wearing clothing that has some stuff you like on it occasionally if it's styled well (Maybe with some distressed jeans and cute sneakers that aren't chucks or skater shoes), but try not to revolve your whole wardrobe around a character. Try something with patterns, flat front shorts, neutrals, etc.
Sorry, I know this wasn't what your topic was about, but I just figured I'd give ya a little advice. Thinkgeek has some Pokemon type socks that are pretty cool! You can incorporate subtle things like that into your wardrobe :) I actually really love the fairy ones, I would wear them with my dress clothes!
