They updated her clothes for the FRLG arc. Whenever there's 3rd Games or remakes they update the characters to their new designs, i.e. the DPP trio got their winter designs from Platinum when they eventually went to Snowpoint, Ruby and Sapphire got new clothes in the ORAS arc, etc.

Pick one.

Anything that isn't games, isn't official. It might be officially licensed, but every fucking time this shit comes up someone has to say it: "If it's not run by GF/Nintendo/Creatures Inc, it's not 'official' and it's not canon." There is no "official" Pokemon manga. There are just a handful of manga (5, I think? Maybe 6) that happen to be officially licensed but aren't really connected to anything else in any way. The anime fits into this category, too. Tajiri used to throw fits about this kind of shit and had to be quieted down before he eventually left production.

GRANTED, Special is about the closest you can get to an official Manga, so at least you weren't posting garbage. But calling that official art is like saying ReBurst is also official. It's like calling the Jessie/James porn done by the guy who did EToP "Official Art".

Do you not get how that works? Something "Official" is created by the team set up to create it. In this case "Official" media is made by Gamefreak. "Officially Licensed" media is media created by a third party with the consent of the original company, who lends there license to the third company, wholly knowing that it's a separate entity that isn't the same as the original. That is to say, it's art that is from a piece of media that is licensed officially, a comic that borrows the likenesses of characters from another piece of media, but is not "official" as Gamefreak has zero input on the media or choices that go into it and they don't create the media themselves.

By that logic, there's only one Official Star Wars Movie because the team that created it was completely different for all the other movies. Anything that goes on for more then a few years with multiple releases is technically completely different. When one 'lends' the license i.e. rights of something to another production, that production itself becomes Official in no uncertain terms. Would you say that any Marvel Character not created by Stan Lee isn't an Official Marvel Character?

Err, I know he didn't, that was my point. The anon I was responding too said that anything that is just given license isn't Official, my example was that did he think any character Stan Lee didn't create wasn't an Official Character on account of the fact they too were given license to use the Marvel world.

And by the by, Stan Lee was one of the co-founders of what we now know as Marvel Comics and is responsible for the creation of a good deal of the Marvel Universe Character Base. So he did contribute a little more then what you're obviously thinking he did.
