Idk, man.
I have seen other franchises have like cities on the backs of giant turtles and other such; pokemon has kaiju roots. Do don't you think it would make sense for this one?

It's definitely an cool interesting idea but I feel like it goes against the core mechanic of the franchise to much to ever be considered seriously by GF. Guess it's something that just belongs to other franchises for now

That's what I thought Mother Beast Lusamine was gonna be but, I guess I understand why GF didn't wanna have the protag attack a human with pokemon attacks in a kids game. I'm sure it could work tho, sometimes the spinoffs have weird entities like Dark Rust or the black hole thing from mystery dungeon

An uncatchable Pokemon would be a tremendous blow to the franchise. No matter how far it has come, the idea of being unable to catch a Pokemon goes against the essential idea of Pokemon itself.

To catch them all.

And that hasn't been the series tagline for a while now, but it's still such a vital part of Pokemon's roots that to invalidate it would be to the series detriment. Many fans already cite the sheer bulk of the national dex as a point of contention; they cite how it is now unfeasible to catch them all.

And while that may very well be true, it's only true in the pragmatic sense, not in the literal sense. There are event distributions and transfer protocols that can be used to compile most if not all of the Pokedex. It's an extremely arduous task, but it's not literally impossible.

i love the idea of battling more things that aren't pokemon (like statues possessed by ghost pokemon or plants bought to life by some nature pokemon) and i also love the idea of there being environmental pokemon like titanic pokemon carrying cities or boats, or jungles where every tree is grown on the back of some huge centuries old pokemon (and you can catch young sapling versions) or resurrected/summoned pokemon which fade away once beaten. it'd add a lot of flavour to the world and make pokemon seem so much more integrated into their environment.

there have always been 'decorative' pokemon walking round with other trainers, and there have always been totally uncatchable pokemon since the lavender tower ghost, so having environmental set dressing pokemon or battles with things which are uncatchable isn't gonna be anything new or ruin the series.
